Review: The Real Estate God University
A review of the real estate educational and mentoring platform by @TheRealEstateG6
Disclosure: I received no compensation for this review other than being given free access to the site. I have no relationship with @TheRealEstateG6 other than interacting on Twitter.
Spoiler Alert: Don’t even bother reading this article. Just go sign up for The Real Estate God University. An insane amount of value for $24.99/month or $249.99/year.
So Many Gurus
The real estate world is littered with paid courses written by gurus who are going to tell you all their *secrets* on how, “You, too, can reach financial freedom through real estate!”
One of the most well known “gurus” is Robert Kiyosaki of Rich Dad, Poor Dad fame. I read the book. It was fine, even though I think the story was made up. But he has now turned into a parody account on Twitter by constantly predicting doomsday. But I digress.
I’ve Never Been A Huge Fan Of Paid Courses
I understand the potential value to accelerate your learning with a paid course, but there are so many hucksters, courses just turn me off. There is a ton of free information available on the internet. I’ve always been a “I’ll figure it out” kind of guy, so my approach has worked for me.
But to be fair - when you have a few bucks in the bank and have already left the rat race, it’s a lot easier to just say, “Let’s give it a go and see how it works out.” So I get that others may want to spend more time getting comfortable with real estate investing before diving in headfirst.
But caveat emptor with finding a legitimate program. This guy definitely ain’t it:
Is This Heaven? No, It’s The Real Estate God University
So, with my long winded intro out of the way on how I’m not a fan of real estate courses, today’s article will be a review of The Real Estate God University.
If you aren’t familiar with The Real Estate God, go scroll their Twitter account and in a few minutes you will learn about 10 new things.
Now take their Twitter content, pump it full of buckets of steroids, and you have The Real Estate God University.
This Isn’t A Course
While The Real Estate God University does have some course type information, the real value is you are a “virtual intern” who is learning directly from a highly skilled person - the rationale on decisions, how to evaluate risk, the nuts and bolts of property valuation, considering all exit strategies, and on and on.
This isn’t a course. It’s an educational and mentoring platform where you get a front row seat to learn from an expert as they work in real time.
Things I Liked
Case Studies - Makes my Deal Or No Deal articles look like nursery school crayon drawings. The case study section alone will be worth the subscription cost.
Mindset Topic - Articles on philosophy, how to think about XYZ, etc. Not your typical “self-help” sort of stuff.
Article Comments/Questions - The Real Estate God responds to pretty much every single question asked as far as I could tell. Very impressive.
Current Topics Available
There is a ton of information available and the site has only been up for 2 months. I can’t imagine how much will be posted within the next year. Current topics available are:
Portfolio Progress - Tracks the status of current assets owned
Property Owned Detail - Separate topics for each owned property and related articles from acquisition to current operation
Mindset - Stuff that makes you think
Case Studies - Detailed breakdown of deals being looked at seriously
Commonly Asked Questions - A goldmine of general information about real estate investing
Partnerships - The Real Estate God’s DMs are open on your potential deal
Reasons Killed - Running list of reasons why a prospective deal was killed
How Deals Were Sourced - Short stories about the web of connections that led to a sourced deal
Member Success - Where site members post their success stories
Member Networking - Forum for members to network with each other
What Needs Some TLC
So I don’t sound like a complete shill, here’s a couple things that I think could improve the site:
Adding a forum - There is currently a Discord style chat. I have never found Discords to be super useful if I’m not in them 24/7 because it is a live-stream of comments. I don’t have time to scroll back through 4 bazillion comments that were added randomly. A forum might be a more user friendly way for members to ask questions and to keep specific subjects grouped together for ease of consumption and searching.
Modify article formatting - More bullet points/smaller paragraphs for easier consumption of info.
Run, Don’t Walk, To Sign Up
I can’t recommend this site enough, especially if you are a solo/smaller real estate investor looking to scale up the food chain. You will accelerate your learning by 10x from this site. The amount of information available is already incredible. The amount that will be on there in 6-12 months will be off the charts.
And the value you get for the price being charged is insane - $24.99/month or $249.99/yr. Consultants charge hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars per hour for similar expertise that you get from The Real Estate God University.
